Robert Latko – President & CEO
Robert founded LMI in 1998. He has more than 14 years experience as an entrepreneur and business owner in fields including international trade, finance and technology. His past positions include Director and VP Technology at Global Strategic Holdings, and Founder and CEO at World Trade Internet Communications.

Robert has spent most of his career as an entrepreneur focusing on technology development in a global setting. His specialties include: Trend and Pattern Analysis; Team Building and Motivation; Integrated Entrepreneurialism and Executive Management; Risk Management Analysis and Intellectual Property Protection.

Having met many thought-leaders both in business and politics, Robert strives to emulate the traits that led to the success of those individuals. He’s also very committed to creating new methods to raise the bar in his own industry. Robert’s innovative business models and web-based technologies are bringing much-needed transparency to the secondary network equipment market while streamlining operations and creating significant cost-savings for LMI’s growing client base.

As a global businessman, Robert has a rich cultural awareness and speaks Japanese a second language. He is also heavily involved with trade associations and networks such as United Equipment Dealers Association, TechAmerica and Equipment Lease and Finance Association. Robert is a member of the Japan Society of San Diego’s Board of Directors and a chairman on its marketing subcommittee.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a double emphasis in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He graduated in 1996.

Leon Hambrook – Operational Manager
Leon manages the overall operations of LMI Global including shipping, receiving, inventory control, equipment confidence testing, and import/export logistics. He also facilitates operations within other departments where applicable to streamline overall operations. A San Diego transplant originally from Austin, Texas, Leon has adapted well to his new surroundings and has quickly become an instrumental member of the team at LMI Global. When he’s not running a tight ship, Leon enjoys bike riding, billiards, chess, computers and the web.

Daisuke Katchi – VP Business Dev., Asia
Daisuke brings to LMI more than a decade of experience in sales. His key accomplishments include establishing and maintaining several large accounts, increasing sales up to 140%, and providing exceptional customer service by forming effective and strong teams. He received training certification from the Management Association of Illinois in Leadership Fundamentals, and is a Certified Internal QS-9000 and TS 16949 Auditor. Daisuke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the International Business University of Arkansas in 1998 and an Associate of Science degree from the Electrical Engineering Japan Electronics College in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 1993. Daisuke speaks Native Japanese as well as English. He has traveled extensively throughout the US, Asia, Mexico and Canada.

Scott ‘Mac’ MacKenzie – VP Wholesale Sales
Scott has worked for LMI Global for the past five years. He brings a variety of experience to the company and has been instrumental in its growth. Scott was a master press operator by the age of 21. He was also a small business owner in the graphics/printing industry in the 1990’s. In 1994, he started selling caps and resisters. To gain more education in that field, he went to work for a digital and tape storage company where he learned all about the industry from the ground up. In 1997, he then started as an entry-level tech support person and quickly rose to lead tech support executive where he was heavily involved in pre-sales testing, onsite repair and installation as well as quality control. A key accomplishment of Scott’s was creating custom building solutions for some of the finest educational institutions and largest companies of the time. The quote he lives by everyday is “Live, Love, Laugh and Let go”.

Boris Zelmanov – Chief Technology Officer and Sr. Project Manager
Boris brings extensive technology expertise to LMI Global where he is focused on programming, IT management and the development of web-based technologies to increase transparency in the secondary network equipment industry. His specialties include: SQL Database and PHP; studying algorithms and assemblers; SugarCRM integration; network and VoIP administration. Boris is fluent in both Russian and English. He is currently honing his programming skills at San Diego State University where he is majoring in Computer Sciences. When Boris is not programming, he enjoys surfing, writing and photography.
